CSR

Promoting a positive social and environmental development, through the empowerment of the communities in which we operate.

PT AKP is unwavering in our commitment to the well-being of our employees, the longevity of our business, and the preservation of the environment. We place a high priority on employee welfare, providing quality accommodations for our site personnel as we believe this cultivates productivity and sustainability. Our dedication to adhering to sound mining practices is matched by our resolute commitment to land reclamation and restoration following resource extraction and tree removal. We consider it both our responsibility and moral duty to rehabilitate the ecosystem and restore the land to its natural state. We deeply value the surrounding communities in which we operate and extend assistance whenever needed, such as during times of flood disasters, demonstrating our genuine concern for their welfare.

Reclamation Efforts

PT AKP is committed to responsible mining practices and prioritizes land reclamation to restore the environment. Our reclamation initiatives include the following:

Reclamation Planning 2016-2020

PT AKP developed a comprehensive reclamation plan spanning 60 hectares, which has been approved by the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources (ESDM).

PT AKP have expanded our reclamation efforts with a new plan covering 132.20 hectares, also approved by the ESDM.

Over the course of four years, PT AKP successfully reclaimed 60.06 hectares of land, demonstrating our commitment to land restoration. In the initial phase of our new reclamation plan, we have reclaimed 9.23 hectares.

PT AKP have allocated 63.43 hectares for mine closure, ensuring a responsible and systematic approach to the closure process.

Our reclamation process involves various steps, including backfilling the mining area, managing the land and its surface, providing seedlings from our nursery, and conducting revegetation and ongoing maintenance activities. We take great pride in our proactive approach to reclamation and have invited the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources (ESDM) to evaluate and assess our initiatives, making PT AKP the only IUP in North Konawe to take such a proactive stance. In addition to reforestation efforts, we also engage in land treatment and revitalization by utilizing dolomite and fertilizers. By involving the local community in our reclamation and reforestation projects, we provide employment opportunities and actively contribute to the well-being of the surrounding communities.
